CAREER OBJECTIVES

I spent most of my childhood gardening with my mother on the east coast and was actively involved in Future Farmers of America, Agriculture Future of America, and studies of plant and horticultural sciences. These experiences shaped my dream of establishing a food system that is economically conscious and environmentally sustainable in order to benefit our planet and generations beyond ours. This idea has blossomed into a passion to renovate the local and global food system with a foundation made of microbial plant sciences, sustainability, biotechnology, and human and animal rights.

The conjunction of microbial biotechnology and agricultural sciences will be crucial to the viability of agricultural production and ultimately the preservation of land and environment to solve issues present in the modern society and the issues presented for future generations. While pursuing my undergraduate studies, I was able to develop connections with my experiences in crop sciences that led me in the direction of a more focused interest in the field of microbial biology within the agricultural biotechnology industry.
I look forward to exploring this industry further as well as discovering new areas in biotechnology such as biopharmaceuticals, bioinformatics, regenerative medicine, and gene therapies.
